Caramelized Onion Cheddar Cheeseburger

An easy, shortcut recipe to whip up restaurant worthworthy burgers for busy nights

Ingredients
  

  • 4 to 6 Pre- formed burger patties A little over a 1 lb total
  • Salt/Pepper/Garlic Seasoning Mix Alternatives – Hamburger seasoning or steak seasoning
  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • Caramelized Red Onion Chutney
  • Brioche Buns

Method
 

  1. Place a griddle or frying pan on the stove over medium high heat.
  2. Once the griddle/pan is heated, place burgers, seasoned side down onto pan.
  3. Sprinkle the patties, unseasoned side should be facing you, with the seasoning mix
  4. Cook patty for about 5 to 7 minutes and then flip. Depending on thickness and desired finish (medium, medium well, well done, etc), cooked time may slightly vary.
  5. While burgers are finishing up, place another pan over high heat.
  6. Place butter in pan and toast inside of buns.
  7. Remove buns
  8. Add chutney to lower bun and then add patties.
  9. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese
  10. Enjoy and then get those kids into bed!
